Highlights

  • Subcontractors can now be set up as vendors in Sage 300 directly from Ernest, with a preview before anything is created.
  • New Project Cost Report on the Finance Dashboard, plus a bid budget sheet and budget settings in Growth.
  • Subcontract numbering can now be configured, and Sage 300 commitment category and type information is now brought in.

What Changed

  • Project information now syncs to the mobile app, so field users see up-to-date projects. (Ticket)
  • Behind-the-scenes security improvement to how Ernest's deployment process connects to cloud services. No change to what users see or do. (Ticket)
  • Dates and times are now stored more precisely, which improves accuracy for calendar days versus specific moments in time and helps avoid dates appearing off by a day across time zones. (Ticket)
  • Sage 300 commitment category and commitment type are now available on subcontracts, and admins can view the history of budget modifications. Also fixes an issue where subcontracts could not be loaded for organizations using QuickBooks Online, and improves Sage change order hints. (Ticket)
  • Charts generated by Shackleton AI now appear in PDF exports instead of being missing. (Ticket)
  • Behind-the-scenes security hardening: platform images are now automatically scanned for vulnerabilities, and the PDF generation component is locked to a specific verified version. No change to what users see. (Ticket)
  • Added protection against repeated sign-in attempts and began monitoring for suspicious web traffic. Monitoring only for now, so no traffic is blocked by the new general rules. Customers who try to sign in many times quickly may be temporarily limited. (Ticket)
  • Subcontract numbering can now be configured, so organizations can set up how subcontract numbers are assigned to match their own conventions. (Ticket)
  • Growth now includes a bid budget sheet and budget settings for building out a bid's budget. Also includes follow-up refinements from QA review and makes the budget sheet available to connected AI tools. (Ticket)
  • Images and attachments in daily log emails now use shareable links, so they display more reliably for recipients. (Ticket)
  • New Project Cost Report available under Finance → Dashboard, giving a project-level view of costs. (Ticket)
  • For Sage 300 customers, a subcontractor can now be previewed and created as a vendor in Sage 300 directly from Ernest. Ernest also shows the subcontractor's vendor details, tracks where each Sage 300 vendor came from and whether it has been sent, and prevents duplicate vendor creation while a create is in progress. (Ticket)
